Can you not almost hear the birdsong emitting from this wren’s beak? Created by felting artist Sheralea Defreitas, the felted bird reflects how the artist integrates character and realism into her art.
Sheralea is a fibre artist from Brantford who finds felting a relaxing art form in her busy life. Her love of wildlife is reflected in her detailed work.
Dimensions 7″ tall x 9.75″ wide
Sheralea came across felting a few years ago and had a keen interest in learning the art form. She has been felting for three years now and is constantly challenging herself with new projects.
Although Sheralea works full time, she finds time to create in her spare time. She finds felting a very relaxing pastime in her busy life.
Sheralea’s love for wildlife inspires the subjects of her work and her attention to detail and realism is reflected in her creations.
Sheralea lives in Brantford with her husband.
