Have you ever wanted to learn how to knit socks? Well then, join us for our popular Knit Along (KAL) Workshop where you will have instruction and guidance every step of the way!
Marijke Wagner, a knitting designer and instructor, will be in Blyth for two Sunday afternoons (March 12th and 19th), for a Huron County Cozy Sock KAL. With focused instruction and demonstrations, she will help to guide you through all of the tricks and turns of knitting a pair of socks from tip to toe.
This workshop also includes a Huron County Cozy Sock Kit with Marijke’s original pattern and wool sourced locally from Steele Wool Farm. The yarn has been naturally dyed at FACTS with flowers from our gardens and is from our Huron County Colours line of wool that reflects the colours of our landscape.
Participants should know how to knit, purl, and have an understanding of how to increase and decrease stitches.
Participants have to provide their own US size 6/4mm double pointed needles.
