It is your turn to be a sock designer! Learn how to dye self striping yarn for socks at our afternoon workshop. You get to choose the colours and the size of the stripes to create your own multicoloured ball of yarn that will knit up to be a one of a kind pair of socks. The afternoon workshop consists of winding yarn into huge skeins, mordanting the fibre, using fibre reactive dyes to colour the yarn and steam setting the dyes. By the end of the afternoon you will have dyed a 115 gram ball of merino super wash and nylon yarn. (80/20). Bring some needlework to work on as there will be times when we will be waiting for things to set and of course there will be tea and treats.
