Learn the timeless tradition of rug hooking with renowned fibre artist Marjorie Duizer. During this 4 hour workshop, Marjorie will help you create a unique holiday gnome with a piece of canvas, strips of wool and a hook. No experience is necessary for this introductory class and all materials are provided.
At the end of the class you will take home a one of a kind holiday gnome ornament and your hook so continue with your newfound skill.

Marjorie Duizer is a retired Registered Nurse. After taking an early retirement from geriatric nursing she discovered the wonderful world of Traditional Rub Hooking in 1999. After taking lessons and becoming involved with the Ontario Hooking Craft Guild (OHCG) she decided to become a teacher of rug hooking. Within a few years she became an Ontario Hooking Craft Guild Accredited Teacher, a McGown Accredited Teacher (a US organization) and an Oxford Punch Needle Certified Teacher. She has taught classes in the US and Canada as well as is a Past President of the OHCG and the OHCG Teachers Branch.
She appreciates all types of rug hooking and is now combining small woven projects with rug hooking.
Marjorie enjoys teaching as well as learning new techniques.
